My day at the clinic (Appointments) |
08:05 The
computer screen shows the appointment's schedule. I see which patients are about
to arrive and I may verify if their files are ready for processing.
08:10 Phone rings, it is Mrs. Dupont, she can't be here at 09:00, her car
wont start. With a quick look I see available appointment spots so I propose
this afternoon, she prefers tomorrow.
I move the computer mouse, position it on her 09:00 appointment, I click and
choose « Move this appointment » from the small popup menu which
appeared.

The 09:00
spot becomes available, Mrs. Dupont's identification is shown in the multiple
assignation rectangle in the top section of the screen.
I move the mouse a little, on the tomorrow grid and at the same time I propose
to Mrs. Dupont to come at 14:00. She accepts so I click on this 14:00 spot and
her appointment is confirmed.
I am satisfied to so easily do this often repeated task.

08:15 The professional Mr. Lemieux comes to the reception desk and says he doesn't have his appointment's day list. I do not see it on the desk, I presume the night secretary did not do it. I move the mouse on the top of the screen where useful menu choices are, as all Windows type application do, I choose List, Schedules.

Today's date is pre-selected, I choose which professional and I click on Execution.
The printer wakes up and Mr. Lemieux receives his desired list with satisfaction.
